The 1st Collaboration Retreat 2010 organised by Mithi was a success. Twelve CIOs and over 50 delegates from diverse organisations took time out to be with us and participated whole-heartedly in the Golf Clinic, CIO Speak session, panel discussion and Dr. D.B. Phatak’s concluding address. A majority of the CIOs and delegates found the event very interactive and informative, and the right forum to address issues & concerns related to collaboration strategies.

CIO Insights and Presentations

We had invited two of our esteemed customers to share their experience on the use of Open Source based Collaboration software and how it has helped their respective organisations.

Mr. Srinivas Iyengar (Director IT and Operations, Aegon Religare), who has won the CIO 100 Award in 2009 and 2010, shared how Connect Xf (an Open Source based Email system) seamlessly integrated with Microsoft Exchange and provided key benefits like smooth mailflow, high reliability, easy scalability and efficient utilization of IT resources.

Mr. Prasad Badiwale (VP IT, Aditya Birla Group), who has won the Chairman’s Exceptional Contributor Award, shared his experience about how they migrated easily from their existing heterogeneous systems to Connect Xf (Email and Collaboration Server) across more than 40 group companies. He shared data on how the new Email System helped them improve reliability and further bring down total cost of ownership.

Keynote Address

Mr. Tarun Malaviya (CEO, Mithi Software Technologies) explained what Collaboration is to the 21st century, what Transportation was to the 20th century and how it can lead to a much greener world. With several examples, he shared how collaboration is the only way to do bigger things.
